e-Communication EOY Reflection

Image
During my first year of e-Communication at Olathe Northwest High School I have learned many new skills. One of them being how to create an animation with different slides. Another being how to create a website on DreamWeaver. I learned each of these new skills by using multiple applications such as DreamWeaver, Photoshop, Sketchup and Illustrator. Each of these can be used together to create a wonderful project that can be shown to friends and family. This is important to learn these skills because you will use them everyday in your life. Whether you want to be an illustrator, an author, or many other careers, you will most likely use these skills one in your lifetime. My weaknesses are probably Sketchup. It is hard or me to get an idea and straight out create a 3D figure mimicking what I see in my head. But my strengths would be Photoshop and DreamWeaver. I am very good at code as I learned this year, and also creating websites. Photoshop comes easy to me because I have always b

Fourth Quarter Team Project

Our team name was JAM and our product was Trackit, stickers that can find anything electronically through an app or computer. Together we created a good product, yet struggled with communication within the group. There were many issues involved with the communication problems. We also struggled with leadership skills. The next group project I will work to communicate with my group my ideas. Something I would change would definitely be the leadership skills and communication issues. I have improved by working with others I would not expect to work with, mostly because when in a group setting I would always go to close friends. For the project I worked on the logo design: the wifi symbol behind the text, he color scheme and the font.

Dog and House Animation

3D modeling is different from 2D modeling in the way you go about making your work. For the dog house you start off with a rectangle and use the push-pull tool to pull the rectangle up into a block. Then you create a smaller rectangle on the front of the block and use the push-pull tool again to pull in the rectangle. After this you use the two-point arch to make an arch at the top and again use the push-pull tool to push that in. After doing this use the line tool to create a line down the middle of the top of the block and use the move tool to pull the line up, making a roof. Using the offset tool can make it easier to create a trim-like appearance. After this you use the paint tool to color your house. I got the dog and cat from the "Get Models" tool. For the chair it was a bit more difficult because you had to use many different tools to create the back of the chair and then the chair legs. I decided to make the chair legs a bit more complicated to create a fancy appear

Bouncing Ball Animation

Image
Name Bouncing Ball In this project we learned about how to use arcs and how to use layers and the animation timeline to make the ball look like it's bouncing. Arcs are what we use in our first layer to layout what path  we want the ball to go on. The animation timeline takes the layers you've made and makes them into a moving animation.   Bouncing Ball In this project we used the animation timeline where you take all the lays you have, put them in the time line, copy them then reverse the copies layers.. This creates the allusion that the ball is bouncing up and down in a continuous motion.

In e9 I have learned so much about Photoshop and what I really want to do when I grow up in this program. Learning all the skills I have learned in the various programs on the Mac has given me a great idea of what type of career I would like to go in to and what skills I may need. I have liked photography, but now I know how to edit them to make them even cooler than the original. As I grow up in e9 I would like to go into Video and Animations. I would like to learn how to edit video further and learn how to be in front of the camera, for I am an actor. For Animation, I want to learn how to create my own animations for future reference for my own website.
